The problem, as it actually happens
Nobody wrote it down.
In July, Rajan sends six workers to weed his pineapple. He pays them cash that evening, buys their lunch and tea, pays an auto to carry fertilizer. Two weeks later he sprays. In November he sells to an agent at a rate agreed on the phone. In March the bank asks for records to renew the crop loan, and his brother asks whether the leased cardamom plot is worth keeping.
